An e-mail message from Afghanistan
This message is for Mr. William Bradley and all the great folks of the Hearts with Hands organization, Asheville, NC. Additionally, a special "Thank You" to all the great folks at Fort Bragg who had us in their thoughts during the Holiday season.
The soldiers of Headquarters Battery, 3rd Battalion, 321st Field Artillery Regiment humbly thank you for the donated items we received in December 2003. Your efforts resulted in many wide smiles and contributed positively to the morale of these fine troops.
|
I hope you enjoy these pictures of some of the happy "Renegades" currently deployed to Bagram Airfield, Afghanistan. Again, thank you for your time, efforts, prayers and support! |
First Sergeant Dale Perez, Headquarters & Service Battery, 3-321 FA Regt, Ft. Bragg, NC

Join Hearts With Hands, Inc. as we STAND UNITED with our troops serving America overseas.
On November 15th, members of the Hearts With Hands Field Services Team transported care packages to Fort Bragg, North Carolina. Along with the care packages were over 5,000 pairs of military issue bootlaces, 1,500 pounds of baby wipes, one thousand New Testaments and other personal care items. The spouses will be sending the care packages to their loved ones in Iraq and Afghanistan. Many of the officers stationed abroad will receive a collective shipment of these care packages to distribute to troops who may be forgotten during the holidays.
There is currently a bill being introduced in the House, Providing Our Support to Troops Act of 2003 (H.R. 2705), which will allow people to mail letters and packages at no cost from the U.S. to American troops who are engaged in armed conflicts abroad. Please contact you representatives and other elected officials and express your approval for H.R. 2705. If you need additional information, please contact Hearts With Hands, Inc. at (828) 667-1912. Until this bill is passed, we are asking you to help.
Troops stationed abroad can mail items home at no charge, however, mail going from the United States abroad is charged at the regular rate to New York City APO. It can cost as much as $12.00 to mail care packages to the New York City APO. Therefore, Hearts WIth Hands, Inc. would like to make a collective effort to help pay additional shipping charges. You may call our offices to make a donation for additional shipping and you may direct you donation toward Hearts With Hands assembly of additional care packages. For you convenience, we have Paypal and Helping.org links on our website for secure internet transactions.
Thank you very much for all you do for Hearts With Hands, Inc. and all the organization's outreach ministries. I am sure God will bless you for your generosity and you compassion
Bill Bradley, Director
