Aid for the Republic of Georgia
Hearts With Hands, Inc. has learned that over 100,000 people are homeless in the former Soviet Republic of Georgia due to the recent Russian conflict and ensuing invasion. Grace Baptist Church, which is located in the capital city of Tbilisi, has sent money to Hearts With Hands on two occasions. The first donation was to be used for disaster relief in central Florida when tornadoes devastated the city of Lady Lake, FL and when Hurricane Ivan ravaged western North Carolina in 2004. According to Hearts with Hands executive director Bill Bradley, “The members of Grace Baptist Church shared their hearts with us when we needed help, now it is time for us to do the right thing and return the favor." School Tools
Hearts With Hands, Inc. has received numerous requests for assistance to help school children in the area with school supplies. In response to these requests Hearts With Hands is conducting it’s annual School Tools program. The agency will be collecting NEW book bags, pencils, pens, paper, notebooks, and other school related supplies.
